Ducted systems
To keep your whole home warm this winter, you can install gas ducted heating or electric heating systems.
Both systems generate warm air in a unit – usually located in the ceiling or floor – that is then pumped through to strategically placed ducts around the home. Although ducted systems can warm the whole home, you can select individual temperatures for every room in your house to optimise comfort and increase energy efficiency.
Gas ducted heating is extremely efficient, using cleaner-burning natural gas as a fuel to warm the air. This efficiency means that it is good for the environment and saves you money.
For areas outside the natural gas distribution network, electric heating is the option for you. Electric heating has a relatively low running cost and is easily installed as part of a reverse cycle system.
Ducted systems are not just for homes – commercial heating reverse cycle systems are extremely popular and are a great all-in-one option.
Small spaces
For single room or small area warming, split systems or gas log fires are the way to go.
Split system air conditioning draws in air, filtering it and warming or cooling as required in an outdoor unit, then distributing the air via a remote-controlled indoor unit. Cost-effective to install and run – particularly with the incorporation of inverter technology – split systems are popular in both new and old homes.
Providing a romantic ambiance to the room, gas log fires provide atmosphere and warmth without the fumes and maintenance of a “real” fire. Gas log fires produce no ashes or soot, and need only be installed with a small venting flue instead of a much more costly and structurally disruptive chimney.
Efficient and Hygienic Hydronic Heating
Optima is a specialist in hydronic heating, the most hygienic and efficient system available.
Radiant warmth is distributed throughout the home either via designer radiators or through in-floor tubing. As it doesn’t pump air throughout the home, it doesn’t spread bacteria or dust, making it an allergy-friendly option.
Hydronic heating – both radiator and in-floor – can be installed in both new and existing homes. To find out more, contact Optima today.
