Floor heating comprises three key units:
- Gas boiler units
- In-floor piping
- Thermostat
The outdoor Sime gas boiler units heat hot water, which is then pumped through Uponor piping which has been laid in coils throughout the slab. Radiant heat from the hot water warms the room efficiently to the temperature set on the thermostat. If desired, individual thermostats can be put in each room of your house.

Hydronic in slab heating is extremely efficient, which means it provides the lowest running costs of any heating system. Natural gas is a clean-burning fuel, which means that floor heating powered by gas is cleaner than equivalent electric systems. Optima only installs gas-fired hydronic slab heating systems.
