Optima designed and implemented heating and cooling systems for this expansive Keilor Lodge home, focusing on efficiency and zoned climate control.
The client required a solution to heat and cool the entire property while allowing specific sections to be zoned off when not in use. Our team crafted a comprehensive plan to address the property’s unique requirements, including large void areas and flat roof sections. By combining advanced VRF technology with hydronic slab heating and a zoned ducted system, Optima delivered a tailored solution that maximised comfort, efficiency, and flexibility for the homeowners.
Optima installed a Fujitsu VRF system with indoor bulkhead units to accommodate the property’s flat roof sections, ensuring even and efficient temperature control. An Actron "Advance" ducted system was added to provide zoned climate management, allowing unused areas to be powered down to conserve energy. For the ground floor, hydronic screed slab coil heating was installed using an Immergas boiler to deliver consistent warmth to large void spaces. These integrated systems created a comfortable, energy-efficient environment tailored to the home’s specific needs.
